Applying for a work permit as a EU citizen

If you are an EU/EEA national you have the right to live, work and study in Norway. Depending on where you are from, family members of an EU/EEA national can either apply for a residence card or use the registration scheme.

When you apply, you must hand in a number of supporting documents to the police or embassy. UDI has made checklists explaining which documents you need to hand in.

EU citizens

All EU/EEA nationals have the right to work in Norway. EU/EEA nationals can move to Norway and start working right away, but they must register with the police no later than three months after arriving in Norway. 

In our case, as you are registering as a Freelancer or a Contractor, you will have to provide a copy of your registration letter before receiving a Partnership Agreement. 

Scandinavian citizens

Swedish, Danish, Icelandic and Finnish citizens can work in Norway without registering with the police, but you must notify the National Population Register (Folkeregisteret) of your move.

Instead of uploading a registration letter, you can upload a copy of the confirmation you received from the National Population Register (Folkeregisteret).

For EU/EEA national who have not yet registered with the police

We cannot provide you with an employment certificate as you are registered as a Freelancer or a Contractor. You can send the Freelancer or Contractor agreement you received from Dropbox Sign to UDI and explain that you are applying as a Freelancer or a Contractor for a Courier Partner position with Wolt.

You have to register with UDI yourself, we sadly cannot do it for you. You must show up in person to meet with the police. You can check which conditions apply for your case here: https://www.udi.no/en/want-to-apply/.
